• List the likely differential diagnoses for a cow that is recumbent shortly after calving, how you can differentiate these, and the key drivers of prognosis for a case of toxic mastitis
• Outline a suitable and specific approach to the treatment and management of a case of toxic mastitis
• Discuss key interventions that would be important to reduce the risk of future cases of toxic mastitis, including vaccination.
