Introduction - Client ProfileTrevor is a 27-year-old male, who works trading commodities for a large oil and gas firm. He is well liked by his colleagues and friends and is close with his siblings and parents. Trevor was engaged to Serena and they were planning to get married a year and half ago. Three months before their wedding Trevor was driving Serena to work and their vehicle was hit on the passenger side, where Serena was sitting, by a truck that was speeding through a red light. There was extensive damage to Trevor’s vehicle and both Trevor and Serena needed to extracted from the car. Serena was unconscious and Trevor watched as the paramedics adjusted Serena on the stretcher and loaded her into the ambulance. Trevor had four broken ribs, required surgery for a shattered arm, and had a moderate concussion. Serena experienced a fractured pelvis, a punctured lung, multiple broken bones, and was in a coma. Serena died in the hospital 10 days after the accident. Trevor attended Serena’s funeral and was glad he could say good-bye. A year ago, Trevor found out that the truck that hit him and Serena was stolen. Trevor knows the accident was not his fault but he still feels responsible for Serena’s death.
