Later that day...When you open your email later on, you have a string of emails from your department chair, the dean's assistant, and helpdesk. Apparently the email was a phishing scam and several of your colleagues have been "caught". You feel guilty for not acting on your instincts earlier and warning them. Apparently no real harm has been done though, lesson learned for next time. If you had looked closely you would see that the dawson email address had a .gmail.com at the end of it! Phew, that was close. |
