Pre-simulation Information

During the following virtual simulation, you will interact with characters and a situation that are based on real clinical encounters. Virtual simulation fosters an environment for active engagement in a relatively safe environment.

The scenario is created to be as realistic as possible; however, there may be some aspects that do not mimic reality. It is important that you engage in the simulation as if it were real to have the most meaningful learning experience possible. 

At times caring for patients may be difficult and trigger thougths and feelings from previous experiences. This can be a normal part of nursing work and it is important to acknowledge these experiences and how they may contribute to current and future nursing practice.
