SJT ranking set

Sometimes in SJT, the question style is most appropriately handled by offering candidates a set of choices which they should rank from best to worst choice/fit etc with the situation.

This example is from Dev & Metcalfe's book. info

You arrive 10 minutes late for a mandatory lecture. As you peer through the doors, you see there are no spaces on the back row and you will have to disturb a number of settled students to find a seat.

In this next set of answers, prioritize the choices, starting with the most appropriate and ending with the least appropriate as your last choice.

Drag the options from most appropriate (top) down to least appropriate (bottom)

  • ⇅ 1. Go to library, study the lecture material
  • ⇅ 2. Head into lecture, move people along to make space
  • ⇅ 3. Sign attendance register then wait in coffee shop
  • ⇅ 4. Head into lecture, move people around so you can sit in your usual space
  • ⇅ 5. Go to coffee shop until lecture ends then slip in for next session
