General rules for the game

There is some collaborative play, some cooperative play and some individual play in this treasure hunt game. While you are scored individually by OLab, some tasks cannot be done without help. And for some, scoring is judged by the whole group. You may even have (gasp) veto powers. So play nice. 

No cheating. Well, maybe a little bit of cheating… but just a little… no, Uncle Rob is not invited. 

• You will need your phone with you at all times. 
• For some stages and tasks, you will need to capture photo or video evidence of success. 
• For other tasks and questions, you will be awarded points. You can watch your Score counter to see how you are doing. 
• Please don't use Internet to look up answers. It mostly won't help anyway. 
• There are coordinates - these will make more sense if you find the Original Clue 
• There will be a truth and reconciliation session at the end where all participants can review each other's images and scores. 
• Creative interpretation of the Tasks is encouraged. ie. you can cheat. But it might be vetoed by the group at the end. 
• Have boots and coat handy. You will be outside as well as inside. 
• You each will play the various segments in a different order. 
• Don't mess with the clues and markers for others. Put things back as you found them. 
• It is better not to use the browser Back Button once you have started the OLab puzzle. It will mess up your scores.
