Examination

You decide to examine Mr Proctor.

  • He looks well, alert and fully conscious. 
  • His pulse is 71/min, respiratory rate 24/min and blood pressure 130/90. He has a temperature of 36.8 C.
  • CVS exam is essentially normal, with no added sounds.
  • Respiratory exam demonstrates no clubbing and apart from a few crackles in the chest bilaterally in expiration, no abnormality.
  • Abdominal examination is normal.
  • Neurological examination is normal apart from his eyes (shown).
