Home visitAfter morning surgery you head to Mr Hunt's flat just around the corner. Deborah lets you in, and shows you through to the bedroom, where Mr Hunt is resting at the moment. Mr Hunt does not recognise you at first, thinking you are an estate agent selling the house. He is quickly distracted when you start to ask him questions. He does not complain of any symptoms when you ask him direct questions, but agrees for you to examine him. On examination he is hot and sweaty to touch, with a temperature of 38.4oc. He smells strongly of offensive urine. His cardiological and respiratory examinations are normal, apart from a tachycardia of 110 bpm and a respiratory rate of 26, and on abdominal examination there is suprapubic tenderness, but no other findings. A brief and difficult neurological examination shows no neurological deficit. |
