Important symptoms
Symptoms of premature labour are often so mild that they go unnoticed until labour is well underway. Early signs of premature labour are mild contractions, pressure, or tension in the pelvis, pain in the sacral region and changes in the type or amount of vaginal discharge, especially when it is particularly viscous or bloody. Many of these symptoms are subjective, and for this reason they are not noted - but if they are, close observation is indicated. Overestimation of the risk of premature labour seems more prudent than underestimation. |
