Ask Lilly if she made the scratch marks herself

'Lilly, did you make these scratch marks?' Lilly nods her head. 'Oh for goodness sake Lilly, this is the last thing we need' exclaims Lilly's mother. Lilly continues to stare at the floor.

You decide you need to ask some further questions. Lilly's mother tells you that she was divorced from Lilly's dad 1 year ago. Lilly has one older brother who lives with dad. Mum works in a busy job as a marketing executive in the city. She knows that Lilly felt very stressed during the divorce but feels that things are better now.

Lilly is doing very well at school and spends most evenings doing homework or spending time on her computer. Her mother remembers that Lilly took some time to settle into school in her first year of secondary school but is not aware of any problems recently.

You ask Lilly some questions about school and find out that she has been getting insulting text messages from some girls in her class at school.

'Why didn't you tell me?' asks mum. Lilly shrugs her shoulders.
