Jacques has been on 70 mg of methadone for about six months. He has also been on fiber-based laxative as needed for constipation. 

After missing five days of methadone, Jacques went to his prescriber, Dr. White, on Friday. Dr. White gave Jacques a prescription for 30 mg of methadone, which was for one day only, and was to be dispensed on Friday at Superpharm, his regular pharmacy. 

Dr. White also gave Jacques a prescription for 30 mg of methadone, which was to be dispensed on Saturday, and a prescription for 40 mg of methadone to be dispensed on Sunday. Both of these prescriptions were for Hyatt Pharmacy, another community pharmacy, because his regular pharmacy is closed on Sundays.

On Friday, while talking to Jacques, the pharmacist at Superpharm noticed that he smelled of alcohol and slurred his speech.

Jacques missed his methadone on Saturday at Hyatt Pharmacy, but did arrive to get his methadone on Sunday.
